[Faith-talk] some updates on Nick, and my day summarized

Hi R.J.
Don't you think that as a pasture that you should help any one in the community? Don't you think that the population living in group homes are also part of the community? As a Pagan, I believe that the whole world is a church, a classroom, a home and yes, a community. Yes, it is our place to help some one in need especially if their home is cause of great trouble instead of a happy place to live. Instead of sending us all rude E Mails, why don't you help out, ignore our good E Mails or sit back, talk to the Christian God, read your bible and then decide what to do that's best?

>> Dear list,
>> An update or two on Nick: he's ok, but I don't know what will happen next. I've been in contact with Vallerie Yingling, and we were supposed to talk on this day at about 3 EST, but we couldn't, so I emailed her a bunch of information so she can look at that. I was referred to Donna Prime, president of the Iowa affiliate. I also emailed a reporter from the Des Moines Register last night, but I don't think we can get this in the paper. Honestly, I'd like to know if there's any thing anyone knows about getting something in the paper, and what that could do to help Nick get the care he deserves, or rather, the rights plus care. We spoke from my friend Haley's Skype last night, and Haley is his girlfriend in Illinois. Just a side note: some stuff I did today included going out to Job Club at the Atlantis building in Denver. I learned stuff about resumes that is really surprising, and I feel more secure about my employment future. So, just a praise report on this: I'm having fun at my internship, and I'm having a lot of fun with Outlook 2007, which I would normally hate with a passion when it comes to multiple email addresses, which I find useful with Thunderbird, but I find that my boss/instructor is really gentle and patient, and I'm surprised he puts up with me. Smiles.
>> Anyway, keep the prayers coming, I'm making some headway in making sure Nick is out of that group home and in a better state. Some of you might have wanted a more factual statement concerning this young man's disabilities. He has little to no useful vision, has been blind for a while, and has the use of one hand at times. HE has some oversensitivity to pain, a classic symptom of Autism, and Autism and blindness sometimes go hand in hand. I have friends who are autistic and don't live in said circumstances, and they're all awesome. So I don't see why this has to happen at all. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support.
