[Faith-talk] Healing and Faith

Thank you Debby, I agree with this 100%. It drives me nuts when Christians say that they don’t need to be sick, don’t need to suffer, just because they believe in Jesus. Suffering is a natural, even necessary part of life. In the New Testament, you don’t see people rejoicing in perfect health and perfect lives. You see people who are humbled every day by their circumstances, but they go on anyway, in faith. It’s really no different from the prosperity gospel doctrine, where people think you shouldn’t be poor and God will give you all the money you want. It’s all ridiculous.
