[Faith-talk] Joining my Local Chapter

Joining the local chapter allows you to meet other blind people. They can 
help you by reminding you that you are not alone in the situations you face. 
They can also encourage you when you accomplish something.  Only other blind 
people understand the steps to becoming an independent blind person.  Also, 
there are other people in the chapter that you can help.  Also, if you ever 
suffer discrimination that makes a lawsuit or a long settlement procedure 
necessary, it is nice to know people have your back.  Sighted people may 
mean well, but they don't always get it.  Meeting other blind people can 
help you prepare for situations you may not have faced yet, because we have 
people of all ages in the Federation, and someone will be able to deal with 
something you haven't experienced yet.
