Hello and greetings to you as this message is being written. My heart
is quite heavy right now, as you will see following today's quotes.
However I hope that your day is going well as you read this message, by
God's matchless grace and His providential care.

Here are today's two quotes for your consideration, pondering and reflection.

Every man has his own courage and is betrayed because he seeks in
himself the courage of other persons. Ralph Waldo Emerson

I refuse to spend my life worrying about what I eat. There's no
pleasure worth foregoing just for an extra three years in the geriatric
ward. John Mortimer

And there you have the quotes, but stay around for my prayer request,
which is not for myself but for another entity.

In listening to the news this morning, I heard about a historic black
church in Greenville, Mississippi, and, although I don't know much more
than that, I would request prayers for the congregation that they will
be able to rebuild, as the news item stated. Maybe I'm a bit crazy,
but whenever I hear of a church building set on fire or vandalized, I
get such a sad feeling in my heart over such a senseless deed. Am I
the only one with this feeling? On behalf of the congregation of this
church, thanks for praying, as I know your prayers will be very much
appreciated.

Later on in this space we will have a short article by the late Adrian
Rogers, host of the radio show "Love Worth Finding," so if you like his
delivery I'm sure that you'll like this later post. Until then or
until tomorrow when, Lord willing more quotes and hopefully news
tidbits will be posted, I am your obedient servant of the One who lived
an earthly existence, died to pay for your sins and mine, and now lives
forever to bring us His salvation and peace, Oil of Gladness.
