Hello and greetings to you all on a Friday, the last day of the
traditional workweek for those of us who are fortunate enough to be
gainfully employed. For the rest of us, I pray that your day is faring
well as you read this message, by God's matchless grace and His
providential care.

Here are today's two quotes for your consideration, pondering and reflection.

The best wood in most amateurs' golf bags is the pencil. Chi Chi Rodriguez

Loneliness is the poverty of self; solitude is the richness of self.
(quote compiler's comment: I suppose that one can take that last
sentence and define the difference between loneliness and being alone.
Some years ago Joyce Meier wrote a book on this very subject, and it
was then available on tape from Care Ministries of Starkville MS).

And there you have the quotes, but stay tuned to a sneak preview of
what I'm going to be presenting on my radio show today; website is at
the end of this message, in case you wish to tune in and listen, even
if only for a few minutes.

We start out with two animal stories outlining what they did in the
lives of two people, one being a horse and the other a dog. We
continue with a story of an old lady who just refused to go into a
nursing home or assisted living facility, but reason and logic
compelled her to change her mind on the advice of her two daughters.
There will be other things to read, but you will have to tune in and
find out what they are. If you good people want to hear the program
and perhaps comment on what you heard, go to
http://www.radioreadingnetwork.org
and click on where you see the word "listeners" without the quotes and,
if all goes well, you should be there. Oh yes, the time of my radio
show called "This and That" will be from 9-10 AM eastern time.

And that will do for now. Until later this afternoon when, Lord
willing a timely article will be posted or until tomorrow morning when
more quotes will be sent, I am your obedient servant of the One who
lived an earthly existence, died to pay for your sins and mine, and now
lives forever to bring us His salvation and peace, Oil of Gladness.
