Hello and warm greetings to all my fellow saints of the Most High God
on yet another oppressive hot day here in Baltimore, and I'm sure the
same is true of other places here in the mid-Atlantic region of our
country, if not in other areas. At any rate I hope that your day is
going well as you read this message, by God's matchless grace and His
providential care.
Here are today's two quotes for your consideration, pondering and reflection.
If all you can do is crawl, start crawling Rumi, ancient philosopher
Music is the medicine of the breaking heart. Alfred William Hunt
(quote compiler's comment: For me the type of music that breaks my
heart is that which goes along with some of the old and revered classic
hymns and gospel songs of the church).
And that will do it for the quotes, but stay tuned to an announcement
of possible interest.
Hopefully beginning at noon eastern time today, the undersigned will be
airing his God-led radio program over the facilities of the Radio
Reading Network of Maryland
(http://www.radioreadingnetwork.org).
The first story might really pique your interest. Entitled "The Priest
and the Parrot" by Victoria Hislop, it portrays the life of a Greek
Orthodox priest in a small mountain village in Greec, and a bit of
village life. In the midst of it all is a parrot and what he does in
the cleric's life. If this sounds interesting tune in and for about
the first 25 minutes or so of the broadcast this article will be read.
And that will do it for now. Until later today when hopefully a
worthwhile piece of literature will be posted for your consideration, I
am your obedient servant of the One who lived an earthly existence,
died to pay for your sins and mine, and now lives forever to bring us
His salvation and peace, Oil of Gladness.
