I have a real story about prayer, and I always try to remember it.
I was around 6. I'd started going to the school for the blind, and for a few years I'd be homesick a lot. Mom called plenty of nights to talk and read bedtime stories and such, but during the day it was hard, especially when I got to the dorm, which was supposed to be our home away from home. One day, I prayed to God, but for what I don't remember. A little while later though, I got a phone call. The dorm staff gave me the phone, and to my delight, it was my mom on the other end. She said she just felt like she should call me.
