Well, I think if anyone does not want to go to a religious place and has had
rides lined up and someone
calls them to connect, that person should be honest. If you fail to answer
and return calls, it seems a natural response for the caller to be
concerned about your well being. I can also understand why that person would
come to the residence if their fellow Mormon did not answer.
I definitely agree with Debby.
Ignoring calls is rude.
You should just tell them you don't want to go to the Temple anymore.
Once they know the truth, they need to back off.
If they then do not respect your wishes and keep pestering you, then I
suggest you tell them you will report their harassment. You can certainly
report this if they do in fact persist. But you'd have to have evidence of
this.
Given the actions of Mormons to convert people, it really does not surprise
me they would be aggressive in keeping a member they currently have.
Hopefully things work out.

Well, I'll let you know that I am trying to leave the Mormon church. Well,
the president of the women's society called yesterday and asked if I wanted
to go to the temple this morning and when she would be going. Considering
the fact that I didn't return the message, and a perfect purposely did not
answer the phone to begin with. I figured that would be that, well,, she
showed up at my apartment building, frantic because she could not get me to
answer the intercom.
My assistant manager, who knew that I am planning on leaving the church
anyway, and am in the process, found out that she was concerned about me.
They were coming up the elevator to my floor, when Debbie found out that she
was a Mormon and wanted to get a hold of me. She was told that I was asked
if I wanted to go to the temple and what time I would do you have to be
ready to go. The assistant manager in her quickness. Said, as the door was
opening on my floor, oh, it's kind early for Jenny, let's go down to my
office and try to get a hold of her. I guess, when the assistant manager
called, somehow, she placated the Mormon enough that she got the Mormon to
leave. But, I had heard the phone going off, so I turned it off. Because I
wasn't going to have any knowledge or give them a knowledge that I was even
here.
I woke up and called my assistant manager back, because it seemed like she
was a little concerned or freaked out when she left the message. I returned
her call, and she told me that I am warming lady was here freaked out
because I was supposed to go to the temple. She explained to me, the
manager, what had happened, that they had almost gotten out on my floor,
when the assistant manager new to deflect her.
You could tell that something was up with the assistant manager, she told me
what it happened, and then said, this is really scary. They won't let you
go? And I said, well, you would think, because I wasn't returning any phone
calls, from anyone, that she would have figured out that I was not going to
the temple today.
Debbie is concerned though, because, she said what if someone else had let
her in, she would have gotten to your door. I told Debbie in no uncertain
terms. The people who are planning on coming here, the people that know that
I'm going to answer their door. Call me first, if I am not called by anyone
first, and someone knocks on my door. I'm not going to answer. So, that sort
of where things stand now with Debbie. Oh man. This is going to be fun
Jenny
