[Faith-talk] Dilemma

Exactly how I feel Justin! I know blind Catholics and no one goes to a latin
mass.
I don't understand how Jenny can follow a mass like that! But if she feels
led to it and feels her soul uplifted, then perhaps it’s the thing for her.
Latin masses are few in the country. As I said before, after Vatigan II, the
Pope directed masses to be in the common language of the people.

Here in my area, we have Spanish masses and English masses at same churches.
But, no Latin masses to my knowledge. I know Catholics going to several of
the main Catholic churches in my area, so I think I can educatedly conclude
we have no latin masses.

For you, maybe the Latin mass is best. For me, I'd go to the one that spoke
english.

When I went to mass on Sunday and the Latin right, things happen with my
soul, and my heart that change things a little regarding the Latin right. I
had a friend that told me what was happening during the mass with the
priest. This coming Sunday, she will be reading the words as the priest
reach them. Fortunately, I can receive the proper's, and the mass, if I
choose to on my phone. Before or after mass.

I don't want something automated in my ear during the mass, so, she is going
to tell me what is going on that is said in the mass, by priest and others.
So that I can tell the timing.

I have said before, and sorry if this is said again, that I believe that the
Latin Wright has come from the very beginning of the Catholic Church. Period

Again, it was done that way so that anyone could go anywhere and understand
the mask. So, they may not have understood the Hollys and things like that,
but they could understand the majority of the mass so they wouldn't be left
out or not be able to figure out what is happening.

With the Orthodox Catholic though, it says that it is coming from the
Orthodox roots, so, they basically went from Russian orthodox, and brought
that to Catholicism. So, it almost makes me want to be somewhere that
started from the beginning. The Latin church also has a new choir director,
he started today with rehearsal. So, actually Wednesday, but, I'm not
planning on going, because I haven't been in the choir for a while, and I
don't want to bombard him with the question of is it OK that I come back to
the choir and would you mind someone who is visually impaired. It doesn't
matter whether he minds it or not, it's the church, so, that's the way it is
but he has train so many choirs it doesn't even begin to be funny. Plus, one
of those places where St. Mary's. So, we believe that there has been someone
with some disability with in that situation.

I have been encouraged by the priest and also people who have met and know
of him to just ask, not just assume that he would not be able to answer the
question comfortably and not decide that he's not gonna do it without
asking. Those of us that have been in any choir at some point in time have
had that issue where the directors don't exactly believe that we can handle
it. I have dealt with that quite a bit in my life. So, they said that he has
done so many choirs, that again, I probably am not the first person. So give
him a chance and walk up and say something, on your own, without assuming
anything.

It makes me happy that they are encouraging me. It's one of the Catholic
Church is I have found that actually has fellowship together. That hang out
together after mass. That is quite unusual.

Is anybody catholic in this situation or have been Catholic. What is your
opinion on the situation. Would you stay with the Latin because it is the
traditional thing that has been around forever, or would you try and
orthodox Catholic church. The other only situation with the Orthodox
Catholic church is that I know no one. I don't feel comfortable going hey, I
don't know you, but can you give me a ride? "I don't want to come in on that
situation. My friend can't always run the Machesney Park to help get me
there and then get me back. It's easier to go to St. Mary's.

Also, I have been told by several, including people on this list, of any
church, it's not what the church can give to you, it's about what you can
give the church. I really feel like I'm starting to be involved. Like I
matter. So, that's making me happy right now. I'm not sure where I belong
exactly, but the majority of my friends go to St. Mary's, and their daily
mass is at 12 o'clock noon. So, it's easier to make it to daily mass at
noon, the bus goes straight to the terminal from where I live, and St.
Mary's is maybe a half a block or more to the corner of the street, prosit,
and on the same street basically almost near the corner, there is St.
Mary's. On the same side walk. That's easy.

However, I don't know if you guys especially in the north have this issue,
but St. Mary's is too broke for air-conditioning. I'd rather put their money
in to the wheelchair ramps and fixing the chairlift for the stairs to get
people on the second floor for getting to the sanctuary. They can't afford
an elevator. So, we are definitely trying to keep the chairlift and is good
explanation as possible.

It has been so hot with the vestments of the church, that there have been
several praise that have literally passed out during mass. So, it doesn't
get that hot. For us, the vestments in the old-style Catholic Latin
situation are very very heavy. I picked up one of the pieces that was on the
table that the priest told me I could, and one peace, and I need one piece,
was extremely heavy. So I can't imagine what the whole thing must feel like.
If that one piece is heavy to me just picking up part of it. Well, I can
understand where they would be extremely hot. And the professional
confession box, it's very very heavy also., And, the women wear veils, their
latest, some of them are shaped like triangles, but, I am trying to find an
Infiniti lease Mantia or head covering. Your lace, though you can use a
star. But I feel better with LACE

in Greek LOL. Well I've got to go. But I would stick with what you like

from there. So, it's going to be interesting. If it's going to be a major
deal with my friend, then, I would rather go ahead and go to the churches
they go to. They have a Saturday mass as well. So, it depends heart. I want
to be careful and want to make sure that my friends don't have to go out of
their way. They would. But I'm uncomfortable just putting more on them. Talk
to you later. But, want to know what you think.
