Justin,
how sad. what kind of church was this?
Some churches have a transportation coordinator or access ministry to people
with disabilities. They are usually the larger churches; often non
denominational. If some of you need a church home or need one with transit,
you might try that.

There is a very large non denominational church here near tysons corner.
which has a transportation ministry; they pick people up from the metro and
I think other places.

If you are in the area visit Mclean Bible church. Its too big for me plus
the access issue of lyrics on big screens.
But they attract a diverse group of people including some blind people so it
might work for you.

Ashley

I had a 5000 member church tell me that no one could come pick me up to come
to church. The church looked like a castle with huge front glass windows,
and I kid you not, had an elevator in the church. But, no one could come
pikc me up for church?
Wow.

Hi all, having one in the Catholic or year. I think it's interesting people
the article special needs special needs special needs it has every thing but
lightness and yes a different special needs his mental and physical
situation why this is a whole Nother beast. And people tend to forget that.
Hence why we have to pay crap load the money for him though.

Also, I don't see one of the richest churches in the universe helping pay
for the him situation, or most definitely the transit situation which blind
people having difficulty with. I can't afford to pay for paratransit to take
me to choir practice, in fact, when I audition and was asked to be in the
choir choir director told me that I was not going to be able to ask anyone
for help in transportation in the choir in fact his words were don't expect
anyone to help you get to and from from the choir. And I'm sorry, that's a
little different.

It seems is this the special-needs situation there seem to be more
activities and abilities. Also on the other hand.

Again, I'm not bashing the church. I'm just telling you what I have seen in
several cities in my life
