[Faith-talk] Terminology

Thanks,
Again, I had only done Lexia Divina at a con vent that I visited. It was really nice, I enjoyed being there with the cloistered nun. I kind of feel like that's the life that I've chosen now anyway. Even though I'm LDS.
We don't have nuns in the church. But, I don't see myself in a marital relationship. I just see myself on my own, and, that's OK, both times I have been married, I made the mistake of marrying people who are unequally yoke. Which, is a no-no :-)
At this point, being alone and studying a lot with the Scriptures. Emailing about our faith. And emailing about blindness situations and other things, that makes me happy. If I get to go visit someone great, but, my home is my proverbial sell as a non-metallic or a monthly call the room except, since I'm light sensitive, and I keep the shade shut. I caught the Batcave :-) everybody gets a kick out of it.
Thanks again for the info
Jenny

>> Hi Ashley, there are several ways to study the Bible. Bible Gateway is a very good app if you have a smart phone. But also I believe that as you read you may begin to find more understanding. Here's a way to do this. It's called Lectio Divina, or Divine Reading. Take a passage of Scripture and slowly begin to read it. If something strikes you about that passage of Scripture, read it again. Then begin to think about what you have read. This would be meditating on it. Then begin praying about your thoughts about the Scripture. Perhaps God will bring something to your mind that He wants you to do, or to think about more. This is allowing the Word of God to speak to you, to your heart. This is not really Bible study per se, but it is a way of allowing Scripture to speak to you, to your heart.
