Sandra,
Thanks for the welcome! I've been a Christian for 41 years. I will have to say this is where my strength comes from to live with Retinitis Pigmintosa. The combination has made for an interesting path. I was raised in MS and moved to NE in 2012. I came up here for a training opportunity and liked it so much I stayed. Trust me, that was a God thing! Smile!

I enjoy reading too.

Historical fiction is really good. I enjoy Sci Fi/Fantacy without the Vampire vs Ware Wolf portion. I have gotten into books by Clive Cussler. He writes adventure, thriller, etc and ends up on the best seller list. I've gotten hocked.
I enjoy
Crocheting and have been attempting to learn loom knitting on Krafters Korner. It is a good place to learn new crafts.

I look forward to meeting each of you. Have a wonderful day!

Subject: [Faith-talk] Hi, Tammy

Hi, Tammy, and welcome to our very stimulating list!

My grandfather (now deceased) was from Neb., too, so already have a soft spot in my heart for you.

I am Christian, though loath to claim a denomination, since God could have me pick up stakes anytime He wanted, and I also believe we Christians need to work together beyond denominational lines, when push comes to shove. I have been in the faith (that is what I’ll call myself) for 37 years—how time flies!

I am blind nearly from birth (ROP), with mild Asperger’s, so the Christian life with dual diagnoses can be pretty adventuresome—what I learned early from blindness can easily be applied to coming to terms with AS, so I tell people, “Don’t feel sorry for me—there are a lot of gifts in AS, just as in blindness.”

Interests: reading (mainly nonfiction—autism, eating disorders, neuropsychology, psychology in general_), and a smattering of fiction (medical suspense—trying to get NLS to produce some of the faith-based medical suspense that’s out there; Christian gothic suspense—not vampires, but similar to the old Victoria Holt or Phyllis Whitney stuff, Francine Rivers, and other historical fiction); writing; crafting; occasional cooking; good conversation, and a lot more.

Hope you have fun on our list.

Sandra
