Thank you Kaden for the better explained medical info. No matter our way of reading the bible or any religious book we need to know all God has slowly revealed over time, not disregard what is out there because it isn't clearly stated in the bible.

The general consensus is that one of the factors may be hormonal balance in the brain while a child is still developing in the womb. Most of the time, hormones are typically oestrogen or testosterone. Generally, the Y chromosome tells the body when to start developing male genetalia. But this does not always happen. So the brain can become masculinised while the body is feminine. Or a male body has developed, but the correct hormones do not get sent to the brain, so the brain becomes more feminine. Children usually know their gender by age three. If there is a mismatch between the brain and the body, sometimes transgender children can express that they are not a boy or not a girl. Usually, they will say "I am a boy" or "I am a girl." There is a difference between saying "I am" versus "I want to be..."

I want to have my child know that they are loved and I support them no matter what.i would absolutely be okay with my child learning about what transgender means in the classroom and at home. I would start showing by example what love means.

>> Hello,
>>
>> It seems like there is confusion about what being transgender is. Being transgender is not a choice and it is not a decision. Children know from a young age which gender they are. Coming out as something different than the preset norms of a culture is incredibly difficult. Transgender youth do not always come out because they know that it is likely they they will have to undergo conversion therapy, become homeless or end up dead. I could have. I knew my gender identity since I was a child. I did not have any choice. I just chose to act upon it. I'm sure it's similar for most of you.
>>
>> What kinds of questions do you all have about LGBT people, particularly transgender people? I can try and give you all some answers and resources to try and clear up the confusion there seems to be about what transgender actually is.

That is just messed up. What would you do, if your child came home and said, gmommy, I decided to be a boy today.h My teacher said that it is fine. That is what is going to happen to children if we do not put our foot down and speak up. Everybody wants to keep everything hushed up under the rug. Do you want children who are not old enough to even understand about sex to make that decision, without even talking to their parents first. Do you want a teacher telling your child that they can be a boy if they want to, even though they are a girl, and you have no say in it. Wake up people, and smell the coffee. We are talking about your children, grand children, and great grand children here. This is personal. Put yourselves in your childrenfs shoes, and think about if a teacher did this to your child Without your consent.
