Hey David I do think you are overthinking this. I read the article 2 or three times and there are some things that I don't think are mentioned in the article that probably happened. I am certain that the parents of this little boy instigated this or were at least aware of this. It does not sound like the teacher just used him as an example and forced him to be a girl. If there wasn't more behind this then the little boy would not have been upset by not being called a different name when school started the next year. I do not think that the school ed teachers handled things well but I don't think the author told all the information either.

I agree with Kaden that whatever my child was is a special gift from God and I want them to be going through life knowing that they are loved and wanted with wonderful guess the Lord gave to them to share. Why should it be any different for a child born with a disability and a child born with hormone/gender issues? Would you hate a child Who is born with ADHD or some mental health condition and give it up for adoption just because it doesn't fit the typical nodel? When I read the Bible I see A whole bunch of characters who did a lot of sinning yet they are referred to as "great man of God." This makes less sense to me. The greatest commandment is to "love your neighbor as you love yourself." That is much more important than Who you sleep with as an adult or whether you were born a boy physically but hormonally a girl.

That is just messed up. What would you do, if your child came home and said, “mommy, I decided to be a boy today.” My teacher said that it is fine. That is what is going to happen to children if we do not put our foot down and speak up. Everybody wants to keep everything hushed up under the rug. Do you want children who are not old enough to even understand about sex to make that decision, without even talking to their parents first. Do you want a teacher telling your child that they can be a boy if they want to, even though they are a girl, and you have no say in it. Wake up people, and smell the coffee. We are talking about your children, grand children, and great grand children here. This is personal. Put yourselves in your children’s shoes, and think about if a teacher did this to your child Without your consent.
