Here is a list of accessible resources for blind Muslims.
one can get the quran from alfitrah foundation in
both arabic and english located in Malaysia. facebook site:
www.facebook.com/braillequran.
main site: www.alfitrah.net
The arabic code they are using is based off the
unified arabic braille code out of saudi. They
produce the english quran too however, they are
not using UEB code as they did not have resources
to change it to UEB code. They have the beginning
guide to prayer; the 40 hadifs; the English
quran in six volumes, the arabic quran in six volumes.
One can contact Madrasa An-noor for the blind in south Africa their site is:
https://www.mnblind.org/. They have a lot of
items for English speaking you just have to
e-mail but, they are limitted on what they can
ship do to south African law. I do not know if
they signed the Marrakesh Treaty. They also have
the braille Quranic primar, you have to locate a
teacher of the Arabic code, it is not being taught here in North America.
However, there is a youtube channel at:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt0bQfLkRjfC6cpMTCpDykA.
That started providing lessons on how to use the code.
There is another site in the UK for english islamic materials:
http://www.kitaba.org/. You can e-mail them and
they have lectures streamed online.
Here in the USA, the arabic only
quran in six volumes is shipped out of dallas from:
https://baitulmaal.org/.
Here is the direct number to have them send you
the arabic only quran: 18002779554. I would just
like to note, their qurans tend to fall apart they do
not have the best binding, they get them from Jordan.
Now there is islam by touch Inc.
www.islambytouch.com
They emboss in UEB code. They use Sahee
international. They also have an app "islam by
touch," you can read islamic texts over the
phone, if you have an apple device. They also
have the fortreess of the Muslim in 2 volumes and
the english Quran is in 10 volumes.
In the USA www.bookshare.org
has the english Quran it is the Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall translation.
Also a good resource that is accessible is:
Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research
7750 . MacArthur, Suite 120237, Irving, TX 75063
info at yaqeeninstitute.
They have an app off the apple store it is called
"Yaqeen Institute." You can find it off their
