Something that I have found helpful in advocating for web site accessibility
is to take a laptop and demonstrate it. Sighted people are really in a
different world when it comes to how they interact with web sites. They
don't know the terms we use most of the times, and things that we associate
on the top of the page might be on the left or right for them. So sitting
down together and comparing how a web site works can be very enlightening
and help someone get on board with web site advocacy on our behalf.

Importance: High

Hello all. I am new to the group!

I don't know if this is relevant to the group, but this is related to
accessibility.

For those of you that go to church, have you ever had to advocate for
accessible accommodations? For example, my church is switching websites, and
I'm trying my best to ensure accessibility to include everyone. Had you had
luck advocating with your church?

Sincerely,

Armando Vias
