[Faith-Talk] serving and connection

Andrew,
You can serve in any of those ministries you mentioned!
You could even perhaps combine the music with another ministry.
Consider helping repair a home with an organization equivalent to Habitat for Humanity.
You will get to meet the family who will live in the home. As you meet them, you could provide some live music to welcome them.
Another idea is at a library, if you can read braille well or can tell good oral stories, you can combine story time and music with kids.
What sort of music do you play or maybe you sing? Did you serve in a music ministry before?

I'm still going to provide some links to articles. This will be in a different thread so it will not get buried.

I hope my ideas help and that the articles I found about successful blind people serving also help.

The articles are not all about ministry volunteer service, but some of them mention God, so I know they did it to serve God.

So stay tuned to see that sometime this weekend.

Ashley

Hi
I guess for me I don't know what to really do.
Sometimes i find nomatter how much I advokate for myself that i don't know how to really do that.
I have a hard time really expressing to others about serving other then i just want to do something.
I have emailed pastor about rides to bible study and nobody from the church gave me ride i reached out while ago and nov nobody offered it after i reached out to him.
nobody lifted a finger to help that kind of thing.

I get so discouraged so easily that i really often feel that it is not worth trying nomore then i feel other days like i just want to be able to do something.

I have trouble thinking about exact areaps area area to serve in.
I think of more then just music though. I think of adult ministries or youth ministries or prayer ministries but i also ti think about more hands on type of stuff like tables and chairs stuff like that.
The problem with some places is rather then me finding my way around some keep ansisting i need to get around with their help in quote un quote church and stuff like that.
