[Faith-Talk] Prayer clock for Israel.

Hi,
I count it an honor whenever I meet a person of Jewish extraction, as they
truly are God's chosen people. Got has never broken his covenant with them.
Yes, you are right-on.
It sounds like he may be attending a synagogue that practices the reformed
Jewish movement, which is very secular in nature.
At our last church, before we relocated, our pastor was formerly Jewish. He
accepted Christ while attending college in Chicago in 1977, the same year I
accepted Christ. He calls himself "a completed Jew." He practices many of
the Jewish traditions that don't conflict with the New Testament message.
See if your husband is open to reading Romans now.
Paul was writing that letter to the Romans, had actually never been there
yet, but wanted to come to them. He was around twenty-five years into his
ministry at that time, so was a seasoned evangelist.
Also, the Jews were finally back in Rome, after having been exiled, so Paul
was addressing them as they were assimilating into the Roman culture, and
explaining how to recognize their heritage at the same time of not only
accepting the salvation message, but also recognizing that Gentiles had been
grafted into the mix. All of this is brought out in Romans 9.

Hi Judy,
Thank you so much for praying for my husband's salvation; that really means
a lot to me. You asked me if he has read Hebrews. A long time ago, he read
the whole New Testament; he told me that it was "powerful" and that "Paul
really had good documentation." He seemed more open to Yeshua back then.
Since then, we moved to another town and he started going to a synagogue
that is very liberal, and he is very involved there. I also have friends
there and they know I attend a Messianic congregation; I'm praying for their
salvation, too. I'm thankful that my husband is supportive of my attending
Beth Messiah and that he treats me like the Bible says husbands should treat
their wives.
Please pray that God will give him the courage and desire to seek and accept
the truth. He told me once that "If I accept Yeshua, then my parents and
family will be wrong." I told him that nobody knows what happened in the
last minutes of his parents' lives; God could have revealed Yeshua to them.
I thought about the thief on the cross. I'm just trusting God for his
salvation; I know nothing is impossible with Him!
Thanks again for praying!! God bless you!
Deborah

Deborah,
I think that it is so awesome you are involved in the prayer-for-Israel
groups. Will pray for your husband's salvation.
Has he checked out the book of Hebrews?
Also, it seems there is a lot said in Romans Chapter 9. We just went over
it in tonight's Bible study.

Hi Judy,
I just got back from vacation so am just seeing this post. I think this is a
GREAT idea. I have gone to the same zoom meeting that Linda attends, but
have missed a lot lately due to vacation and other appointments. I attend a
Messianic congregation, and my husband is Jewish and does not YET believe in
Yeshua. Please pray for his salvation. A friend at my congregation is
starting a prayer group for Israel at her house tomorrow night at 7:00 pm. I
will pray about what time I could best take on the clock and will let you
know.

Hello Everyone,
This is reporter Chuck Holton who goes live with current news stories,
interacting with the public.
I have the idea of forming a "prayer clock." It can be a fun way to rally
believers in serious, steady prayer. Whenever I've seen it done in
churches, people flock to sign up.
The idea is for each hour on a clock to be taken by someone who pledges to
pray for the concern in question. You can pray the whole hour, or just a
tiny part of it, God hears all prayers.
If you can report in which hour you would like to take, I will choose one
not taken. I am making a blank clock and will fill in each hour with the
person's name. Along with the name, I will also pray for that person.
What do you guys think? Click the link below for the latest from Chuck
Holton, reporting for CBN.
