[Faith-Talk] Purpose of List

Misty,

I would go the other direction and say that occasionally it has
touched on the topic of faith and blindness. It has mostly been
off-topic, and personally, if it continues, I will leave the list. I
am not uninformed about the issues. I listen to sources that favor
each side. I do have my own opinions. However, I do not want to be
encountering this wherever I turn. Yes, this will be over in a couple
of weeks (or more), but the lack of concern and respect for others in
the perpetuation of these threads, if it occurs, can also occur in
other ways.

We’ve talked about how our faith intersects with politics… And by the very nature of discussion, things can at times vere in other directions. I don’t think it is practical to expect this not to happen at least sometimes on lists like this.

Church culture is changing, the lines between denominations are blurring, as God brings his people together, so such a discusssion is inevitable, maybe the guideline should change to reflect the awakening church of today.
