One access issue that I think might be really helpful to address and make life easier for church staff as well, is the software that the churches use for their hymns and songs.  When I asked if someone could download the words for the music for me they have no idea how to save the music as a text file.  Our church secretary is kindly typing out the words for every song or searching on Google for trying to find the right versions of the songs.  There must be a way that the words can be downloaded as a text file so we can put them on a notetaker or put them in braille, whatever works for people.  Church staff have a whole lot better things to do in this day and age when everything is digital.

 

I’m glad to know the issues of accessible tech in faith communities is being addressed.
