Hello,
Looking for some advice on how I should proceed. one of the people who normally sits next to me at church choir wasn't there tonight, so someone who usually sits in the row behind me asked if she could sit by me and I agreed. Although she is new to the choir and admitted that she doesn't know the music well yet, she was happy to help in whatever way she could, whether it was to sing in my ear to make sure I had the part or offer an arm to help me to my ride's car after rehearsal. The usual person is not very friendly and doesn't seem interested in being helpful, so I think I would like to have the girl who sat by me tonight sit next to me permanently. However, I don't want any hurt feelings from the other person, so how would you suggest approaching the director about a seating change? She would be the one who would have to move since there's no room to put a music stand anywhere but the front row.
