Good afternoon All,
This is to me, but it's nothing personal. I am sending it minus the attachments because my BrailleNote will not forward attachments. I think that the links are all here for all of them, though.
Blessings,
Linda

> Dear Linda,
> My name is Aisling Redican, I am Communications and Fundraising Manager for Xavier Society for the Blind in New York City. Xavier Society has been providing free braille, large print, and Talking Books to people who are blind, visually impaired, and print disabled, worldwide since 1900. We have patrons throughout the United States and in 25 other countries and our books aid our patrons in learning about and practicing their Faith. We hope to reach many more people interested in our free offerings worldwide.
> I am also wondering if you could also help us get some information directly to your members. We have hundreds of books available in braille and Talking Book ranging from spiritual and religious to uplifting and 'feel good' titles that are more inspirational than theology based. A complete listing of our titles can be found by clicking here. We are very active on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feed where we share new additions to our catalog, clients stories, and other news pertaining to our organization daily. I would also be happy to mail brochures, flyers, and other informational materials in braille and print if you'd like. People can register with us by giving us a call at 800-637-9193 or emailing us at info@xaviersocietyfortheblind.org
> One of our biggest lines of service is the Propers of the Mass (basically the missalette), which includes the readings, prayers, and responses to the Mass on Sundays and Special feast days and is available each month in braille, audio, and large print. In addition, we also produce braille textbooks for children in CCD and adults in RCIA.
>
> We would also be happy to coordinate the mailing of The Funny Alphabet. This is a great book that teaches babies and young children the braille alphabet, with tactile examples for each letter (i.e. a koala bear for the letter K). It is available in English and Spanish. The video attached highlights this and some of our other offerings available to children and young adults.
> Over the last couple of years, XSB has been trying to reach many more people in need of materials. One of our main initiatives has been to expand our braille and audio offerings in Spanish. We currently have seven audiobooks available in Talking Book format. This format is compatible with the talking book machines provided by the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled. The titles we have are:
> La Biblia: Introducción a la Sagrada Escritura por Rafael Ramirez
> Guadalupe y el Misterio del Verbo Encarnado por Xavier Fernandez
> La Misa Explicada por Padre Larry Richards
> El Santo Rosario por Ruben Quezada
> Tender un Puente por James Martin, SJ
> 365 Días Acompañados Por Los Santos por Carmen Aguinaco (read by the author)
> Guía de Bolsillo para Rezar el Rosario por Matt Fradd
> In terms of Spanish braille, we provide the Sundays readings for the Mass in BRF (braille ready file, for anyone with an electronic braille display). We also have 365 Días Acompañados por los Santos available in hard copy braille and BRF.
> There are PSAs attached in both English and Spanish that we have sent to many organizations throughout the United States, if you could pass these along to your network and members it would be greatly appreciated! I have also attached some flyers that might be helpful with our latest releases in braille and audio, as well as our complete Talking Book catalog.
> If you need any more information, or know of anyone in need of our services, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thanks again!
