Just a reminder to join FLAGDU for our teleconference tomorrow night at 8
PM. There will be lots of information to share, and we value your
suggestions and questions. My original email follows, which contains the
call-in instructions. I hope to hear some of your cheerful voices tomorrow
night!

Hello all,

On behalf of the board of the Florida Association of Guide Dog Users
(FLAGDU) I would like to extend an invitation for you to join us for a
special open meeting via teleconference, to be held next Monday evening,
Sept. 19, at 8 PM. Of course all are welcome, especially guide dog users,
and we'll be eager to answer all questions about FLAGDU, and the National
Association of Guide Dog Users as well. One of FLAGDU's  ideas for this year
is to encourage each chapter to choose a guide dog user to serve as a
representative/liason to FLAGDU. We'll certainly talk about this during
Monday's meeting.

We chose this particular time because Meet the Blind Month is fast
approaching, and it would be great if chapters would include plenty of
information and education  about the use of guide dogs and access rights of
guide dog users in their special activities. We have a brand new updated
brochure you can order from the national office, information about the new
NAGDU Education and Advocacy Hotline, and news about a comprehensive flier,
which will contain both Florida's White Cane Law and access law for guide
dog users. We're of course looking for your suggestions, too. We will keep
this teleconference to about an hour.

FLAGDU hopes to involve and assist many more Florida guide dog users, and
those interested in our issues. We believe this special teleconference will
be an excellent first step. Please let others know about it, and we hope
you'll join us on Monday night!

Note that this is a toll call. Hopefully most of you have unlimited long
distance. If not, FLAGDU is not responsible for the charges.
Also note that the teleconference will be recorded. Participation in the
conference implies an agreement to and authorization for such recording in
compliance with state and federal laws.

During the conference, participants may use the following commands:
*3 exits the conference and puts you in the "lobby".
*6 mutes the participant, and pressing the command again unmutes the
participant.
