Hi everyone!
My name is Mihai Plavitu and I am a student at Aalborg
University, Denmark, Master of Tourism. I am interested in making a tourism research for
the visually impaired tourists. I already did a research on ways of traveling
and barriers for tourists with visual impairments. I always thought that such
researches should be made in cooperation with the persons in cause and for this
reason I would like to hear your opinions and your suggestions for further
research related to tourism. What issues do you think should be analysed in the
academic literature?

Thank you and I am looking forward to hear from you.

Janet,
There is a form - dR151 - that one can complete and send to the
Florida Department of Revenue to receive a tax exemption for guide dog food
and medical expenses. The challenge FLAGDU is working on is that it requires
one to have an identification card from the Florida Division of Blind
Services. Such an i.d. does not verify one has a guide dog, only that one is
blind. We are working to find a sponsor for a bill to remove this
requirement and replace it with a signed affidavit.

Fraternally yours,
Marion Gwizdala

Hello all,

If there is a Florida tax exempt form for guide dogs, I would also be
interested.
While researching this only information I could find was for business and
nonprofits.
I do know you can receive money each month for your guide's expenses, if you
are a Veteran or are collecting SSI

Would someone please send me the information as to where I have to go to
obtain the Florida tax exempt form for guide dog users? And Sherrill, if you
need any help legislatively, let me know. Thanks.

Janet,
You would need to talk to the leadership of FLAGDU about whom they
have approached for sponsorship. I believe all of the members of the FLAGDU
board are on this list.

Marion
