Hi there,
For the rest of you, I currently have a Guide Dog of my own and had him for about 2 years from Southeastern GD school! Best thing I did! Prier to going we tried training 1 but didn't workout really. For 1 thing, you really have to know what you're doing. We even had help from a from a friend who had experience with service dogs, however guide dogs need even more specific training I learns later at Southeastern. So I personally like it was suggested on here already Helga, do go with school training 1st time for sure... Save yourself the hassle...
