On behalf of the board of the Florida Association of Guide Dog Users<br>
(FLAGDU) I would like to extend an invitation for you to join us for a<br>
special open meeting via teleconference, to be held next Monday evening,<br>
Sept. 19, at 8 PM. Of course all are welcome, especially guide dog users,<br>
and we'll be eager to answer all questions about FLAGDU, and the National<br>
Association of Guide Dog Users as well. One of FLAGDU's ideas for this year<br>
is to encourage each chapter to choose a guide dog user to serve as a<br>
representative/liason to FLAGDU. We'll certainly talk about this during<br>
Monday's meeting.<br>
<br>
We chose this particular time because Meet the Blind Month is fast<br>
approaching, and it would be great if chapters would include plenty of<br>
information and education about the use of guide dogs and access rights of<br>
guide dog users in their special activities. We have a brand new updated<br>
brochure you can order from the national office, information about the new<br>
NAGDU Education and Advocacy Hotline, and news about a comprehensive flier,<br>
which will contain both Florida's White Cane Law and access law for guide<br>
dog users. We're of course looking for your suggestions, too. We will keep<br>
this teleconference to about an hour.<br>

FLAGDU hopes to involve and assist many more Florida guide dog users, and<br>
those interested in our issues. We believe this special teleconference will<br>
be an excellent first step. Please let others know about it, and we hope<br>
you'll join us on Monday night!<br>
