[Gabs] Having Sleepovers with Sighted friends

Dear Students,

This email stems from an incident that happened in sixth grade.  
A friend of mine invited me to a sleepover on a Friday night 
around Christmas time.  When I asked my parents for permission to 
go, they said no.  My older sister was graduating that weekend so 
we were having a party for her.  I was sad that I was not allowed 
to go.  Looking back now I don't blame my parents for making this 
decision.  They didn't know anything about my friend or her 
parents.  I'd like to hear your thoughts on this topic.
