Dear NFB Members, Family & Friends,

Please note the announcement below and please join us for this exciting 
discussion and hear from various blind individuals active in a variety 
of community recreational and social programs and activities among their 
sighted peers.  Hear how they concord public misconceptions about the 
blind and visually impaired.


Hear from others who have faced barriers and why they have felt that 
these barriers have kept them from becoming active.

INFORMATION:

A conference call discussion open to the blind community will be held by 
the Gwinnett Family Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind 
instead of our May 6, 2017 regular monthly chapter meeting.

We will meet via conference call on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 7pm – 8pm.  
Join us for this open discussion, the topic will be, “embrace Recreation 
& Social Involvement in Your Community”, Blindness is not what holds you 
back, don’t let others   perceive your disability as an incapability.

If you, or you know of any blind or visually impaired person who is 
active in any sports or social groups, please pass on this e-mail for 
them to join us.  If you are not active at this time, please join us and 
we also welcome family and friends.
