Subject: Urgent: Apply for NFB of GA Washington Seminar Stipends today!
Deadline Dec 15.
Hello all,
I'm pleased to announce that the NFB of GA board has made available six $500
stipends to NFB of GA members who are interested in attending Washington
Seminar this year. Washington Seminar will begin with the Great Gathering In
on the evening of January 29 and run through Friday, February 2. For more
information about Washington Seminar, visit
https://nfb.org/washington-seminar.
How to apply:
Applicants for a stipend must be members of the NFB of GA in good standing.
To apply, send an email or letter with the following information to my
contact info listed below:
* Name
* City of Residence
* Name of Chapter in which you are a member.
* A brief paragraph explaining how you will contribute to the NFB of
GA delegation to Washington seminar. What makes you a valuable member of the
team? Why should you be selected over someone else?
Recipients of the stipend must be willing to commit to 2 to 3 planning
conference calls in the weeks leading up to Washington Seminar.
Decisions about who will receive the stipend will be made by a committee
including myself, Stancil Tootle, our First VP and Legislative Director, and
other NFB of GA leaders. The committee will strive to select a well-rounded
group to ensure that as much of our state is represented as possible.
Please send email applications to gaikens at nfbga.org
<mailto:gaikens at nfbga.org> and print/braille letter applications to:
1216 Weatherstone Dr NE

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
