The National Federation of the Blind of Georgia invites you to participate
in our Job Seekers Seminar and Job Fair, sponsored by the Center for the
Visually Impaired. These activities will be taking place as part of the 2017
State Convention in Atlanta, GA from October 13-15, 2017
Location: Holiday Inn Airport North
1380 Virginia Ave.
Atlanta, GA, 30344
Admission to the job fair is free, so bring your resume, wear professional
attire, and get ready to find a job.
The Employment Seminar is scheduled to take place Friday October 13, 2017
from 10:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. The seminar will be split into two parts.
Employment specialist One on One Meetings -- 10:00a.m. - 12:00p.m.
A. Have an Employment Specialist look over your resume.
B. Get coaching to prepare for the job seminar.
Job Fair -- 1:00p.m. - 4:30p.m.
A. Welcome from Mark Riccobono, President of the National Federation of
the Blind
B. Hear from successful blind entrepreneurs.
C. Meet with potential employers to discuss job opportunities.
D. Or, if you don't quite feel ready to talk to employers, get coaching
on interviews, professional attire, etc.
E. Some of the companies attending the event will include Georgia
Industries for the Blind, Business Enterprise Program, World Services for
the Blind from Arkansas, who provides training and placement with the IRS
and Consumer Credit Counseling Services, and the Lighthouse in Winston
Salem, who offers a variety of jobs including administrative and production.
