We are looking for blind students who can still benefit from the Back to School awards program from AIRA and AT&T. I know that our Nation Association of Blind Students President, Katherine Webster, has engaged around this project. I am currently serving as Chairman of our NFB AIRA Boosters Committee. I have been consulting with their team from a programmatical and consumer perspective. I was happy to see that there were still some spaces available for blind students to take advantage of the AIRA AT&T scholarship. I think this would be an empowering experience for all college students. And, I note that they have opened up the program beyond Freshman. Aira is committed to our mission of extending instant access to information for blind and low-vision people through an innovative fusion of technology with a human agent in the loop. Our goal is to ensure that our users share an elevated access to real-time information about one’s surroundings and environment, even when those surroundings might be highly dynamic.
