[Greater-baltimore] Cancellation of Meet the Blind Month Event for tomorrow

Greetings, fellow Federationists:
 
I am writing (regretfully) to let you know that our Meet the Blind Event
at the Baltimore Inner Harbor scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled.
The weather is expected to be extraordinarily nasty and it is doubtful
that many people will be taking advantage of the Inner harbor.  Let me
take this opportunity to thank each of you who planned to help with this
event and to apologize for any inconvenience the cancellation of the
event may cause you.  As an alternative, let me suggest that as many of
you as possible participate in handing out candy on Halloween evening
outside the National center for the Blind at 1800 Johnson Street.  We
will begin handing out candy to the children of the neighborhood around
the national Center at around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 31,
continuing until about 7:15 or when the candy runs out.  Mary Jo Thorpe
is in charge of this event and has already distributed an e-mail to this
list; feel free to contact her or me for more details.  I hope to see
many of you then.
