Subject: NASA Summer Program for Middle School Girls (Rising 7th and 8th
grade)

 

NASA Goddard Space Flight Center is encouraging rising 7th and 8th grade
girls interested in science, engineering, mathematics, computers, and
technology to apply for the 2009 Summer Institute in Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Research (SISTER) which will be held July 13 – 17 2009 at
Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt Maryland.  

 

Please pass this announcement along to anyone who you would feel would
benefit from applying for this program.  We wish to encourage the
participation of girls with disabilities who are interested in STEM fields.
NASA GSFC has a robust program for individuals with disabilities which
include program materials available in Braille and large print, sign
language interpreters, and other popular reasonable accommodations that
encourage full inclusion in all of our outreach programs. 

 

Please note that this program is only open to US citizens.
