I want to send an email out and introduce myself to everyone.

My name is Anica Zlotescu, I am a new member of the Baltimore Chapter of
the NFB. I have been to a few chapter meetings this year. I'm an adult
education instructor and work at the Learning Is For Tomorrow (LIFT)
adult education organization. I've come to previous chapter meetings to
discuss our classes and the services we offer for blind and low vision
adults.

I have taught at LIFT for 2 years. Before that, I went to Towson
University where I majored in Cultural Anthropology and Deaf Studies.
Teaching is something that has always been of great interest to me. I
began at LIFT as an intern in a class for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing
adults. Currently, I teach a class at Blind Industries and Services of
Maryland (BISM). I work with adult students who want to get their GED
or improve literacy skills including reading, writing, and grammar.
It's been a wonderful experience working with and learning from students
and staff.

I live in Baltimore City and grew up outside Washington, DC in
Gaithersburg. My father defected from Romania in the 1970s and much of
his family and friends have relocated to the DC area. I enjoy playing
the piano and taking modern dance classes.

If you know someone who would be interested in adult literacy classes,
please don't hesitate to pass along our information. I have attached our
flyer to this email.

I would like to be more active in the NFB community. Please don't
hesitate to come up and say hello to me at a meeting or event.

Anica Zlotescu

How long will Mark need? I think we can fit him in but we do
have another guest, so maybe five to ten minutes.

If you want to send along your e-mail and flyer I'll be happy to
pass them along to the list. See you Saturday.

	Hi Chris,

Mark Pettis and I are looking forward to coming to the chapter
meeting and breakfast on Saturday. Mark would like to speak about our
fall classes. Would it be possible to put him into the agenda?

At the suggestion of Amy Phelps, I wrote up an introduction
email about myself to send out to the NFB Baltimore Chapter listserv. I
have a copy of our flyer to attach to my email as well.

Looking forward to seeing you and other members on Saturday!

	Thanks,
	Anica
