[Greater-baltimore] Everyman Theater at LBPH vs FIRE SALE!

Ah-hah! The Everyman Theatre at the library is on Friday, noon to two,
so it won't be clash with the chapter meeting on Saturday. My mistake
but all to the good--now everyone can come to the chapter meeting and
have a go at the Fire Sale goodies! :)

Ha-ha, Mike! Actually, as much as I like to support stuff that benefits
blind guys, I don't think our members will want to be anywhere this
Saturday but at the February chapter meeting and they won't want to
leave early to get to the library. This is the month and year of the
Fire Sales!

Not only will we have a yummy breakfast cooked and presented by the
parents group (from 9 to 10 A M) followed by the meeting (10 to noon),
but the members of our state Parents of Blind Children division are
holding their annual Bake Sale of fabulous goodies! But wait! This year
there are goodies that will be in FIRE SALES in between some auction
items!

Everyone who buys a 50-50 ticket for one dollar (with a chance to win
half the total pot) will also be in the drawing for the Fire Sales.
When our auctioneer John Cheadle yells "Fire Sale," Barry Hahn will draw
a number from the tickets sold. If the person holding that ticket is in
the room, he or she may purchase for only one or two dollars, depending
on the item, a one-person pack of homemade brownies or chocolate-dipped
strawberries, or other fabulous treats. The winner may buy as many of
these treat-packs as he or she wishes at the set price. Then that
person's number is retired from the Fire Sale, and everyone else who
bought a 50-50 ticket is in the drawing for the next one. At the end of
the meeting, as usual, everyone who bought a 50-50 ticket is back in the
drawing to see who won half of the total amount collected for the 50-50
tickets.

Let's support our parents of blind children in their yearly fundraiser
while getting those great homemade desserts. See you at the chapter
meeting!

Hi Jim:
It would be helpful if, when you send this type of message, and you want
me
to attend, you could make it work related.
For example: We're having a presentation by Everyman Theater this Friday
which would benefit your technology program because we might use a
microphone.
Or, how about? Our presentation from the Everyman theater will include
opportunities before and after for you to talk to other attendees about
very
important information that your program might wish to share.
You see how this works?? If you say anything that even gives me some
excuse
that I might find this event work related, I can then come down there.
Although, I must say, since five guys is closed I'm still in very deep
mourning and have been unable to come to the library. I'm concerned
that I
will break down in uncontrollable sobs and be unable to focus on the
event
in question.

This is a nice chance to see top theater in Baltimore. I urge any who
can
and who is interested to come to the library in support of this program.
Though the information asks for 8 days notice, that is not necessary
given
the snow. If you are interested in coming, it would be helpful if you
contacted Shawnta Wilson just so we have a count. This is a valuable
opportunity for blind Marylanders to see top theater and become
acquainted
with it. I encourage as many as can to come to LBPH Friday, February
19.
