Good morning,

Our dear friend and colleague Bill Jacobs had major surgery yesterday. Attached is the update on Bill from Bernie. We are all praying for Bill to have a quick recovery.

"Good Morning Everyone!!!

Call it Good News... Praise God... or whatever you wish to tag it!!!

After some ten very long critical hours of surgery at University of MD, a very large tumor was successfully removed which compressed Bill's spinal cord. The surgeon informed us that some reconstruction of the casing around the spinal cord had to be taken care of as the tumor had wrapped itself around the cord and actually proved to be quite serious and actually was the cause of bill's severe pain, numbness, and tingling and otherwise, horrific debilitating discomfort. However, there is good news in that the doctor believes his prognosis is very, very good. The tumor is completely gone and he believes that Bill should actually regain full use of his legs, feet, and lower extremities. For that, of course, we are all so grateful.

Bill will be hospitalized for another three-five days. His room number is 760 in some building that for the life of me, I cannot pronounce. I'm sure that after today, he will be delighted to receive calls in his room locally at: 443-462-4146. Please be patient though, as it may take some time to get to his phone and he may not always get to you on the first call. You can always reach me via my cell phone: 410-215-8587 for any further questions or concerns.

I'd like to take this time to thank each and every one of you for all your thoughts and prayers! This has meant so very much to Bill and me and has really helped us through! As Doc says, "The hard part is over now." I'd alsdo like to thank the wonderful team of physicians and the top dog--physician of all physicians, God Himself!!

Please pardon me as I try my best to keep everyone posted. If anyone gets this, simply spread the word if you can far and wide so that we can get to everyone concerned! Thanks everyone!!
