Students and Parents:

This is a reminder that our Towson, Lutherville and Cockysville (TLC)
Chapter will be hosting an informative open house this Saturday, March 7th,
to acquaint blind high school and college students with the many
scholarships offered by the National Federation of the Blind and the NFB of
Maryland. Students will be able to learn how to apply for a scholarship,
receive helpful tips from past scholarship winners, learn about the many
benefits of membership in the Maryland Association of Blind Students
(MDABS), get energized about how you can play a vital role in the important
work of the Federation, and get your questions about the NFB and our
scholarship program answered. A free lunch will also be provided along with
the opportunity to meet fellow blind high school and college students as
well as successful blind adults. Please see the announcement below and RSVP
to Mary Jo Hartle by emailing mjhartle23 at gmail.com if you are interested in
attending. I look forward to seeing many of you at this exciting event!

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations for blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
