[Greater-Baltimore] Coming Changes to Bus System — MTA BaltimoreLink Presentation May 24 at NFB

Dear Chapter Colleagues,

The Greater Baltimore Chapter and the TLC Chapter are sponsoring an MTA informational presentation regarding the new BaltimoreLink bus system which will go into effect on June 18. The MTA informational event will take place on May 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Members Hall. You will have an opportunity to find out how the coming changes will affect you directly. The event is open to the public. Please help spread the word about this important meeting. More details are in Nicole’s email below.

Good Evening,

I hope this finds you all well. I am writing to inform you of a Baltimore link presentation that will be held at the national Federation of the blind headquartered.this presentation will discuss the major changes that are coming to the MTA bus system effective June 18, 2017. If you haven't heard as of yet, the entire bus system will be changing. The current route as you know it today, will no longer be. Every room is changing to either a new number or will become a designated color. It is important for you to become familiarized with what your bus route we are now changed to effective June 18, 2017.

Date: Wednesday, May 24, 2017
Time: 6 PM until 8 PM
Location: national Federation of the blind headquarters, 200 Wells St., Baltimore, MD 21230, fourth floor-members hall

At this meeting, there will be representation from MTA to discuss all of the route changes that will be taking place on June 18, 2017. There will also be there youth trip planners there to assist you with what your current route is to and from a particular destination, and will be able to give you insight and plan what your new route will be effective the change date. It is truly important that you get the word out to everyone you know who uses fixed route for MTA. Again, all routes will be changing effective June 18, 2017.
