Dear Chapter Members:

The next meeting of the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind will occur on Saturday, January 20 from 10:00 a.m. to approximately noon. As usual, we will meet at NFB headquarters, 200 East Wells Street, Baltimore, MD, 21230 in the Utah Auditorium, which is on the fourth floor.

Among other topics we will discuss the NFB’s legislative initiatives on both the state and national level.

We will also have a presentation from Carl Belanger, a member of the NFB’s Access Technology Team, about how to report issues with websites and apps which are not fully accessible. Being able to accurately explain a problem to the company will go a long way in encouraging them to fix the problem. Come to the Chapter meeting to learn tips and strategies for reaching the right people, describing problems you encounter, and the information you can provide to help the company remedy accessibility issues.

Finally we will need your help with our chapter’s work to build the Federation by volunteering for our various committees.

I look forward to seeing many of you on Saturday.

Cordially,

Ellen Ringlein, President
