[Greater-Baltimore] are you ready for the June 14 Informational Protest?

I am pleased to say that about 10 students and staff from Patterson Park
Public Charter School's advocacy class will be pounding the pavement with
us! They have even made some of their own posters for the event. They will
be glad to be put to work, and are excited for the opportunity to
participate in real world advocacy. If you see them at the protest, please
thank them. Please especially thank their teacher, Kim Coleman, for
coordinating the logistics so they can join us, and for helping these
students learn about advocacy.

Protest?

It is time to put your walking shoes on and get the secret ballot back for
disabled voters! Come to the Southeast Anchor Library 3601 Eastern Avenue,
Baltimore, Md at 10:30am on Thursday. You must provide your own
transportation directly to and from the library if you live in the Greater
Baltimore area. If you cannot be there in person, share the event on
Facebook or Twitter. #secretballot. Let's put an end to voting
segregation! See you on Thursday!

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not
the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
