[Greater-Baltimore] August Chapter Meeting Reminder

Dear Chapter Colleagues,

Our next chapter meeting will take place on August 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at NFB headquarters (200 East Wells Street, Baltimore, MD 21230).

Come and learn what is happening at NFB at the national, state and local levels. We will be holding a membership ceremony to bring in some new members into the federation family. If you are a longstanding member and missed the April ceremony, you are invited to participate in this one as well.

We will also be planning for our picnic on September 21 at Lake Roland Park and for Meet the Blind Month activities in October. Learn to raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams.


Speaking of our Picnic, Please RSVP to Melissa Sheeder via email melissas at mdschblind.org or phone 410-868-2779 by September 10. We will need an accurate headcount to be sure to buy the right amount of food. Please plan to contribute $5.00 per person at the picnic to help cover some of the food expenses.

Please note that our October meeting will take place on October 12, due to the traffic congestion caused by the Baltimore Running Fest the following Saturday.
