As you know, the Performing Arts Division is working toward authentic
representation in the media. Below is an opportunity for a woman of the
African Diaspora to authentically represent blindness in a film. If you
send in a headshot, please CC or forward your sent email to the national
Federation of the blind Performing Arts division so that we can keep track
of those who have applied.

*Production Details:*
The Feature is written by Montana born JENIFER JULIAN and her writing
partner GARY SHERWOOD.
LAURA RISTER at UNTITLED, BRIAN DAVID CANGE at INFINITE SCENARIOS and
JUNEBUG PICTURES are Producing, and Black Female Film-maker JENNIA
FREDRIQUE APONTE will be Directing, making her Feature Directorial Debut.
In addition she will be supported by an exciting mentor / EP yet to be
announced.

*Overall Shoot Dates & Location: *
OCTOBER 5TH - NOVEMBER 18TH 2020 in MONTANA

*Character Breakdown:*
*ELMIRA KING: *Female, Black, 30’s,  Beautiful, Courageous and Wise, she is
Blind and runs a Boarding House in the small town for “Non-White” Visitors
Passing through town, with the help of her young daughter Loretta. She and
Tom McClure have had a secret relationship for many years (the product of
their relationship is Loretta) and while he helps somewhat financially,
their love is illegal and so they are not publicly a couple, and Loretta is
unaware of whom her Father is.Please ONLY submit Actors who are BLIND /
PARTIALLY SIGHTED / Have LOW VISION.

*Storyline:*
1874, New Mexico Territory: A Young Girl witnesses the murder of her
Father, at the hands of a gang of Irish Outlaws wanting their land, before
being rescued and ultimately adopted by a Native American Warrior. Under
the tutelage of her new Native American Father she makes it her Life
Mission to avenge her Father's murder by becoming a terrifying Warrior, and
hunting down and killing the Irish outlaws.
