Hello everyone!

We are committed to continuing to serve you through this time in a safe and
helpful way. Please continue to contact us with questions or requests.
While most of our staff are working remotely, we are checking email and
voicemail throughout the day. Email us at reference.desk at maryland.gov or
call us at 410-230-2443.

We remain closed to the public at our location at 415 Park Avenue, so
please do not plan to visit us until further notice.

We are working with a very limited staff on-site in keeping with practices
recommended by the State of Maryland. We are sending out digital books,
Braille books, and large print books on a daily basis. Please keep your
books for at least two weeks after you've finished with them. This will
help us to make sure we are not overwhelmed with returns for processing.
This lets us concentrate on getting books out to you.

BARD and Bookshare; we are encouraging all LBPH patrons to take time to
explore BARD, BARD mobile, and Bookshare. These services are free and
provide immediate access to hundreds of thousands of books!

Vitamin D: What You Need to Know

Vitamin D. We've all heard of it. But what is it? It's often called the
Sunshine Vitamin, but what does it actually do for us? Join Dr. Mona Habibi
for a discussion on the role of Vitamin D in our body. Learn how Vitamin D
is produced, discuss the best time to have our Vitamin D levels checked,
and how to supplement it when it is low. Register here:
