Subject: Reminder: It's Time to PAC - PAC Plan Your Contribution, That Is!

My Maryland Federation Family:

It's no secret this year has presented unexpected hurtles: from Covid-19 itself, to social distancing, ,, to virtual learning and education, and of course, who could forget the iconic toilet paper shortage Despite 2020's unusual facets and unique challenges, our commitment to achieve equality, opportunity, and security for the Nation's blind has been, and continues to remain resilient. In response to the pandemic, our federation family came together to provide general resources<https://www.nfb.org/resources/covid-19-resources> , establish interactive lessons and -distance education resources<https://www.nfb.org/resources/distance-education-resources> , and worked to insure that the civil rights of blind Americans are not violated, and so much more.

Many of our programs and services would not be possible without regular contributors to the PAC (pre-authorized contribution) plan. The PAC plan allows you to contribute to the NFB through recurring monthly donations. These can be direct withdrawals from a checking account or charges to a credit card.

How to start giving/increase my donation
It's easy! If you're a new contributor to the program, you may fill out this form<http://www.nfb.org/pac> - please note that someone from our national office will contact you for bank and credit card information if you're a new contributor. If you would like to increase your monthly contribution, fill out the same form and make sure to select (Increase contribution) from the drop-down menu.

How to increase my chances of winning prizes
Each year we do a drawing for lodging for our state convention of the following year, and this year will be no different. In addition, we will be giving away other prizes to new PAC peeps and cool contributors who increase their monthly giving. In order to be in the running for all things prizes, you must do the following:
(1) Fill out the PAC form<http://www.nfb.org/pac>.
(2) Keep your confirmation email. Starting Thursday morning, you may forward your confirmation to pac at nfbmd.org<mailto:pac at nfbmd.org>.
(3) Grab your good luck charm, sit on the edge of your couch, and wait in anticipation to find out if you will be one of our victorious winners.

IMPORTANT: If you would like assistance in filling out the online PAC form, a member of our PAC squad will be glad to help you. Please call 410-618-4151. We will begin taking calls on Friday at 8:00 A.M. Oh, and don't worry, callers who require assistance to fill out the PAC form or increase their contribution will certainly be eligible for PAC prizes.

If you have any questions, comments, or need clarification, please contact us by emailing pac at nfbmd.org<mailto:pac at nfbmd.org> or by calling 410-618-4151.

Of course, I would be remiss if I ended this email with anything other than everyone's favorite PAC song<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAtFfgggj08>!

Federationally Yours,
Stephanie Flynt
Vice-Chairwoman, National Federation of the Blind of Maryland PAC Committee
