Hi everyone!

Just a reminder about tonight's FREE teleconference and this week's Peabody
concert!

*TONIGHT!*
 *November 9 - "Un-Sugarcoating" the Truth about Diabetes (6:30PM)*
November is American Diabetes Awareness month, which reminds everyone to
get their blood sugar and blood pressure tested, make an appointment for
diabetes-related tests such as a dilated eye exam, dental check-up, and
more! Join Cheryl Bush to discuss the best ways of preventing and managing
diabetes for you or your loved ones. Register here:

*This THURSDAY: *
*November 11th *- *Peabody String Sinfonia Concert (7PM)*.
The Peabody String Sinfonia is a student-led, conductor-less string
orchestra whose mission is to bring healing and beauty to people in our
Baltimore community who are in challenging situations or in places where
they cannot easily gain access to live music, including cancer treatment,
incarceration, homelessness, hospitalization, addiction, and hunger. Our
members are students and alumni of the Peabody Conservatory of Music who
volunteer their time for this project.

*NEXT Week:*
*November 17 - Maryland Centers to Independent Living (6:30 PM)*
Centers for Independent Living (CILs) are federally established nonprofit
disability resource and advocacy organizations located throughout Maryland
operated by and for people with disabilities. Center staff and Boards are
at least 51% people with disabilities. The Independent Living Movement
believes that people with disabilities are the best experts on their needs.
We value equal opportunity, self-determination, and self-respect. We reject
the idea that disability is a barrier to independent living but rather the
environment and attitudes of our society are the barriers. Join Zoom
