Domino Sugar plant's new refinery manager is Coricka White, the first Black woman to ever hold that position.

White worked for the refinery for 19 years before moving into her newest position, according to WBAL TV Baltimore.

The waterfront refiner, known for its neon sign in Inner Harbor, will turn 100 next month. Under White's leadership the plant will be replacing the raw sugar shed that burned down last year and building new silos.
