Hello Federation family:

The Greater Baltimore chapter and the National Federation of the Blind of
Maryland Sports and Recreation Division need volunteers to host a water
station during Maryland's premiere running event, the 2022 Baltimore Running
Festival, on October 15, which is also White cane Awareness Day! Our water
station will be at the intersection of Cathedral and Madison Streets in
Mount Vernon, and volunteers will be needed from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm to fill
cups, place them on a table, and cheer on the runners as they pass by!
Although the official shift starts at 8Am, volunteers should plan to arrive
early if possible, and those who can are invited to help clean up once the
water station officially closes. Volunteers will receive a Baltimore Running
festival volunteer tee shirt and a free box lunch. Don't miss this
opportunity to get out during Blind Equality Achievement Month and support
our community! For additional information, and to sign up as a volunteer,
please contact Aloma Bouma at alomabouma at gmail.com
<mailto:alomabouma at gmail.com> or 410-375-9528.

Warmly,

Chris Danielsen, President

Greater Baltimore Chapter
