Dear federation Family:

Your regular meeting reminder will be coming soon, but in the meantime, I
wanted to let you know about a special presentation that will take place
after the meeting on Saturday. Beginning at 12:45 p.m. in the NFB of Utah
Auditorium, Mr. Keith Price, a certified tax professional who has been
working in the field for over thirty-five years and currently serves as a
senior tax manager with The Hutt Co., Inc., will give a presentation to help
you prepare to file your tax return. The topics Mr. Price will cover
include:

- What is taxable income

- Who should file

- What are Deductions

- Itemized Deductions vs. Standard Deductions

- Refunds vs. Balance Due

Mr. Price will also describe the tax considerations that we should keep in
mind as blind filers.

Please note: This is a general presentation with time for questions and
answers, which will run from 12:45 to approximately 2 p.m. in the NFB of
Utah Auditorium at the NFB Jernigan Institute. Mr. Price will not be
providing individual assistance or tax preparation services at this
gathering. If you would like to have lunch or a snack before the
presentation begins, you may bring food for quick consumption in the
lunchroom, which will be open briefly after the chapter meeting, before the
presentation begins in the auditorium. Please do not consume food or drink
in the Utah Auditorium. Lunch will not be provided, but there is a coffee
machine available for your use at no cost to you (bring your own cup if you
can), as well as soda machines from which you can purchase beverages at your
own expense. Please clean up after yourself. The lunchroom will, as usual,
not be open during the chapter meeting itself, and it will be closed again
when the presentation begins in the auditorium.

Warmly,

Chris
