Want to help advance equity for people with disabilities in your community?

The Maryland Disability Equity Scorecard Project is seeking adults with disabilities to participate in community convenings. The goal of this project is to create a method for assessing and comparing how equitable and inclusive communities are for children and adults with disabilities. The result will be an accessible and publicly available data system and set of community-level scorecards. This project is led by the Johns Hopkins Disability Health Research Center<https://disabilityhealth.jhu.edu> in partnership with Clear Impact<https://clearimpact.com>.

We invite interested adults with disabilities living in the United States to complete a pre-registration form<https://jh.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6nDQFyjM5rrHfjU> by July 17th.

These convenings will explore what equity means to the disability community, and how disability equity should be measured. While this project is currently focused on Maryland, the goal is to expand nationally. You do not have to live in Maryland to participate.

Two virtual community convenings will be held on the dates below. Participants are requested to attend both sessions:

  * Monday, September 18th from noon to 2:30 ET
  * Tuesday, October 24th from noon to 2:30 ET

CART and ASL interpreters will be provided at both convenings, and materials will be shared in accessible formats.

Please share with your networks! A flier with details is also attached to this email.
