Hi All,
I hope you can come out on Zoom Saturday for a special Technology User
Group presentation. Dr. Bower has been profiled in Future Reflections and
she has an interesting job. Here are the details...

On Saturday, June 8th, the Technology User Group (TUG) is pleased to
welcome Dr. Amy Bower, who will showcase her research with ocean currents. Dr.
Bower is a senior scientist studying physical oceanography at the Woods
Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts. She has been chasing
ocean currents in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans for over 25 years,
primarily by releasing acoustically tracked floats far below the sea
surface. Legally blind since her mid-20s, Dr. Bower uses adaptive
technology to continue her research.

Who should attend this meeting?

· Individuals who seek scientific careers.

· People who would like to see how jobs can be adapted to
assist individuals who are visually impaired.

· People who are fascinated by the ocean and the research
being done to learn about its secrets.

· The curious minded!

The meeting will begin at 10 AM and last about 60 minutes.
